Revolve Nation Guiding Principles


The Revolve Nation Community consists of a live forum and interactive website which offer its members greater power to contribute, share, connect, and drive innovative thinking. All entrepreneurs are entitled to sign up to the Revolve Nation Community, and registration is entirely voluntary. We encourage open and stimulating discussions on issues of interest to our members in an atmosphere of civility and collegiality. We therefore establish these Guiding Principles as the foundation of the rights and responsibilities of the Revolve Nation community.

1. General Terms and Conditions

Users of Revolve Nation should act in ways which respect the rights of other users, US law, and normal standards of acceptable behavior. This will usually be a matter of common sense, decency and courtesy. However, you must not post material which:

  • Is obscene, indecent or pornographic;
  • Is violent, racist or homophobic;
  • Promotes hatred or conflict between religious, ethnic or national groups;
  • Insults or attacks specific individuals or groups;
  • Is libellous or defamatory;
  • Is false, misleading or inaccurate;
  • Violates copyright or other intellectual property rights; or
  • Is otherwise illegal under US law.

The discussions on site are meant to stimulate conversation not to create contention. Let others have their say, just as you may. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you.

Revolve Nation accepts no responsibility for the opinions and information posted on this site by others. In no event shall Revolve Nation be liable for any special, indirect, or consequential damages or any damages whatsoever resulting from loss of use, data, or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this site.

2. Privacy

Although this is a community of members and as such we foster interaction, you own your own information and we at Revolve Nation have the utmost respect for this very basic civil right. This is why we give you control of your own information so that you may share what you wish to share with other members and no more. However, in the course of administering the site and facilitating its operating functions, we retain elements of control over your private information as described below.

We will collect personal information (such as your name, address, etc.) about you when you register with us and when you subsequently visit the site. We do not collect any personal information about you except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information.

We may use the personal information that you provide for the following purposes:

a. to customize the site in line with your preferences
b. to help us understand the way in which users are visiting the site
c. to tell you about events, products and services which we think may be of interest to you from time to time
d. if you do not wish us to send you information about events, products and services remember to click the opt out box on your registration form

3. Copyright and Quote Policy

Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that he or she owns the copyright with respect to such material or has received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants Revolve Nation the nonexclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or other material. Users of this site have limited rights.

4. Security

We take the security of Online Community seriously. We will put appropriate measure in place to protect the security of our service, and will review those measures periodically. However, we also expect our users to act in ways which support the security of Revolve Nation. This includes:

  • Protecting your username and password. These are personal to you, and must not be given to anyone else (including other members).
  • Not acting in ways which compromise the security of the service, waste staff time, or degrade the service available to other users: e.g. hacking, denial of service attacks, corrupting or destroying data, deliberate introduction of viruses, worms, etc.

5. Violations

Revolve Nation users may contact us to report any breach of our acceptable use policy or any other concerns which they have about the service. We will consider possible violations on a case by case basis. We will decide whether a violation of this policy has occurred. If it has, we may take any of the following actions which we consider to be appropriate:

  • Discussing the matter with the individual(s) concerned.
  • Removal of the offending material/messages.
  • Suspension or withdrawal of Revolve Nation membership.
  • Informing police or regulatory authorities.
  • Posting an announcement to those affected by the violation.

6. Ending your relationship with Revolve Nation

The Terms will continue to apply until terminated by either you or Revolve Nation as set out below.

If you want to terminate your relationship with Revolve Nation you may do so by (a) notifying Revolve Nation at any time and (b) closing your accounts for all of the Services which you use, where Revolve nation has made this option available to you. Your notice should be sent, in writing, to Revolve Nation’s address.

Revolve Nation may at any time, terminate its relationship with you if:

(a)   you have breached any provision of the Terms (or have acted in manner which clearly shows that you do not intend to, or are unable to comply with the provisions of the Terms); or
(b)   Revolve Nation is required to do so by law (for example, where the provision of the Services to you is, or becomes, unlawful); or
(c)   Revolve Nation is transitioning to no longer providing the Services to users in the country in which you are resident or from which you use the service.
